Terms of Use
Last updated September 22, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Okoh Technologies (“Okoh Technologies”, “Nhyiaye”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the operator of Nhyiaye (the “Platform”), reachable at okohtechnologies@gmail.com. By creating an account, browsing the Platform, or buying a ticket through it, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform.
If you’re setting up events to sell tickets, the Organizer Terms of Service also apply to you, in addition to this document.
1. What Nhyiaye is
Nhyiaye is a marketplace that lets organizers list events and sell tickets, and lets buyers discover events and buy those tickets, paying by Mobile Money or card. We are not the organizer of any event listed on the Platform. The organizer is solely responsible for the event itself — its content, safety, venue, schedule, and whether it happens at all. We provide the platform, payment processing, ticketing and QR check-in tools that make the transaction possible.
2. Accounts
You need an account to buy tickets or sell them. You can create one with an email and password, or sign in with Google. You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at okohtechnologies@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
3. Buying tickets
- Prices are shown in Ghana Cedis (GH₵). A service fee is added at checkout and shown before you pay — the total you confirm is the total you’re charged.
- Payment is processed through our payment partner, Paystack, using Mobile Money (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo) or a debit/credit card. We don’t see or store your full card number or Mobile Money PIN.
- Once payment succeeds, your ticket is issued with a unique, signed QR code. That code is your proof of purchase — treat it like cash and don’t share it publicly, since whoever scans it first at the door is treated as the ticket holder.
- Each event’s organizer sets their own refund and rescheduling terms for that event, shown on the event page before you buy. Our platform-wide Refund Policy explains what happens when an event is cancelled and how refunds are processed.
4. Your conduct
You agree not to:
- use the Platform for any fraudulent purpose, including paying with a card or Mobile Money account that isn’t yours;
- resell tickets at a markup where that’s restricted by the organizer or by law, or use bots or scripts to buy tickets in bulk for resale;
- attempt to forge, duplicate, tamper with, or reuse a ticket’s QR code;
- interfere with the Platform’s security, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or overload it; or
- upload anything unlawful, infringing, or that impersonates another person or organization.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, without a refund of any service fees already paid, and we may report fraud to the relevant authorities.
5. Cancelled, changed, or disputed events
Organizers, not Nhyiaye, decide whether to cancel, postpone or change an event. If an organizer cancels an event, see our Refund Policy for how refunds work. We may also step in and refund a payment ourselves where we determine, at our discretion, that a payment was made in error, was duplicated, or an event clearly isn’t going to happen.
6. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We don’t guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or actual occurrence of any event listed by an organizer — that responsibility sits with the organizer, including holding whatever permits, licenses and insurance their event legally requires.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Okoh Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform or attendance at an event, including lost profits, injury, or loss of data. Where liability can’t be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (the service fee) for the order the claim relates to.
8. Indemnity
You agree to cover any claim, loss, or expense we reasonably incur because you broke these Terms, misused the Platform, or violated someone else’s rights or the law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform changes. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the update.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
