Cookie Policy

Short version: Nhyiaye doesn’t use cookies for advertising or tracking, and doesn’t set any cookies of its own. Here’s what we actually do.

1. What we use instead of cookies

Rather than cookies, we use your browser’s own local and session storage — data that stays on your device and isn’t sent to other websites — for a few things:

• Staying signed in, so you don’t have to log in again every time you open the site.
• Remembering your light/dark mode choice, so the site opens the way you left it.
• Saving an in-progress event draft, if you’re an organizer partway through creating or editing an event, so you don’t lose your work if you close the tab.

None of this is shared with anyone else or used to track you across other websites. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for Nhyiaye — though doing so will sign you out and may lose an unsaved draft.

2. Third-party sites you’re sent to

A few steps briefly take you to another company’s own website, which is governed by that company’s own cookie and privacy practices, not ours:

• Paystack, when you pay by card — you may be sent to Paystack’s own secure payment page.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.

3. Changes to this policy

If that ever changes — for example, if we add analytics in future — we’ll update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
