Refund Policy
Last updated September 22, 2026
This is Nhyiaye’s platform-wide refund policy. It works alongside — not instead of — the refund policy each organizer sets for their own event, which is shown on the event page before you buy. Read both before purchasing a ticket.
1. If an event is cancelled
If an organizer cancels an event outright, you’re entitled to a full refund of the ticket price you paid. Refunds are sent back to the original payment method (your card, or the Mobile Money number you paid with) and processed through our payment partner, Paystack. Once a refund is approved, it typically reaches you within a few business days, though your bank or Mobile Money provider’s own processing time can add to that.
2. If an event is postponed or changed
If an organizer moves an event to a new date, time or venue, your existing ticket normally carries over to the new details. Whether you’re entitled to a refund instead depends on that event’s own refund policy — check the event page, or contact the organizer directly.
3. If you simply change your mind
Refunds for tickets to an event that’s still going ahead as planned follow that event’s own refund policy, set by the organizer and shown on the event page. Some organizers offer refunds up to a cut-off date; others sell tickets as non-refundable. We can’t override an organizer’s stated policy on their behalf.
4. The service fee
The service fee added at checkout covers running the Platform (payment processing, ticket issuance, support) and is non-refundable, except where an event is cancelled by the organizer or by us, or where we determine a payment was made in error.
5. Payment problems
If you were charged more than once for the same order, or a payment failed after your card or Mobile Money account was debited, contact us — we investigate every case and refund any amount you weren’t supposed to be charged. This is separate from an event’s own refund policy, since it’s about a payment error rather than a change of plan.
6. How to request a refund
For an event-specific refund (a cancellation, postponement, or a refund under the organizer’s own policy), start with the organizer through the contact details on the event page. For a payment problem, or if you can’t reach the organizer, email us at okohtechnologies@gmail.com with your order number and we’ll help.
7. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or Mobile Money provider (a “chargeback”) without contacting us first, it can delay or complicate resolving the issue, and may affect your ability to use the Platform in future. Please contact us first — most issues can be resolved directly and faster than a chargeback.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We’ll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do.
